SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 27, 2004 — Shauna Bona recently was named a Finalist in the Best Entrepreneur—Service Businesses category in The 2004 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs. 

The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs, www.stevieawards.com/women, is
a new national awards competition recognizing the accomplishments of women small business owners in the United States. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards, hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post (September 22, 2002). 

More than 600 nominations from small companies in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in 18 categories, including Best Entrepreneur, Best Young Entrepreneur, Best New Product and Mentor of the Year. 

Shauna Bona has been an owner and copresident of McKinnon-Mulherin Inc. since 1997. She has worked as a volunteer for People Helping People, the Girl Scouts and is currently the chair of the board of the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA). “It is an honor to be a finalist among such distinguished women,” said Bona.
