Community Legal Center and McKinnon-Mulherin Create Website to Help Raise Funds to Expand Access to Free Civil Legal Services

SALT LAKE CITY—The Community Legal Center (CLC) and McKinnon-Mulherin, Inc., teamed up recently to create a website for the CLC’s capital campaign to expand access to free, civil legal services in Utah. The Disability Law Center, the Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake, and Utah Legal Services initiated the joint campaign to create a community legal center to expand access to legal services to poor and disabled people in Utah by co-locating at the center.

When complete, the CLC will not only provide long-term stability to the state’s primary providers of legal aid, but will enable those providers to serve more efficiently and effectively. The CLC’s Capital Campaign website (www.communitylegalcenter.org) gives more information about the campaign and the CLC to potential donors, as well as providing a form for donation.

McKinnon-Mulherin, a Salt Lake-based strategic information design firm, got involved in the project to help the CLC meet its need to get information about its campaign to potential donors and other interested parties via the World Wide Web.

Being a non-profit organization the CLC had limited financial resources with which, to develop the website. McKinnon-Mulherin agreed to create the site pro bono as part of its ongoing efforts to give back to the community.

Visit the CLC website at www.communitylegalcenter.org for more information or to donate to the Capital Campaign.
